Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of bedside nursing system on enhancement of the efficacy of mupirocin combined with potato slices for chemotherapy-induced phlebitis.Methods 40 patients with chemotherapyinduced phlebitis who were treated with mupirocin plus potato slices and who received bedside nursing system were assigned to study group and 40 who received only combination therapy with mupirocin and potato slices were assigned to control group.The efficacy was compared between the two groups 4,24,and 48 hours after treatment.Results The study group was superior to the control group in the efficacy 4,24,and 48 hours after treatment ( 77.5％ vs.47.5％,90.0％ vs.72.5％,and 100％ vs.87.5％; P＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Bedside nursing system can improve the efficacy of mupirocin combined with potato slices in the treatment of chemotherapy-induced phlebitis.
