Abstract
We report on the measurement of the inclusive production cross section of single muon, dimuon and heavy quarkonium states J ψ and ϒ in p p collisions at s =1.8 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. We extract the inclusive b quark production cross section and compare the results with next to leading order QCD predictions. For the first time the measurement of the J ψ production cross section is extended to the forward region. From the information on the J ψ event topology, the muon impact parameter and the rate of χ c radiative decays we estimate the role of various charmonium production mechanisms.
