Abstract

In this essay the author develops further his ideas on the relation between the arts and theology and on the role of beauty in Christian faith. Beyond the classical doctrines of Creation and Incarnation as foundational to the dialogue between faith and the arts he seeks to integrate the Trinity into the fuller theological discussion of human artistic work. As part of that dialogue he moves from the human values and criteria widely accepted in art-criticism to re-discover the riches of Trinitarian faith.
