Abstract
This essay challenges the understanding of aesthetic terminology applied to art. By referencing past philosophical ideas, the authour proposes a differentiation of beauty as an aesthetic idea and perfection as an abstract idea. She discusses the apparent impossible reconciliation of these notions in the realm of art, but leaves the door open to possible solutions.
