Abstract
Several years ago I acquired a bedraggled first edition copy of Jane Addams' Twenty Years at Hull-House (1910). Recently, I dusted it off and reread it after another Chicago community organizer was elected U.S. president. Reading it again reminded me that next year will be the centennial anniversary of Hull-House's publication. And, remembering both events, I was reminded of the importance of bearing witness if justice is to be pursued.
