Abstract

While the achievable rate region and the maximal sum-rate with beamforming techniques are the focus of the research of multiple-input single-output (MISO) interference channel (IC) presently, we propose another beamforming technique that the minimum pairwise error probability (PEP) of a MISO IC system is pursued. The model of the optimization problem of minimizing the PEP of the system is studied, and the simplification of the goal function of the optimization problem is carried out. Both the instantaneous and the statistical channel state information (CSI) are considered. Numerical illustrations are provided, comparing the proposed minimum sum-PEP method to the maximum sum-rate method for their symbol error probability (SEP) performance. Simulation results show that in a MISO IC system the sum-PEP method has better transmission reliability than the maximum sum-rate beamforming vectors.
