Abstract

A Gaussian beam summation (GBS) representation for a half-plane diffraction of an incident beam wave is presented. The scattered field is expanded into GB's that emerge from the edge with appropriate excitation amplitudes. Asymptotic expressions for the beam to beam (B2B) scattering matrix consisting of the diffracted beams amplitudes, are derived and compared to exact numerical calculations. Applications to GBS modeling of indoor propagation are discussed.
