Abstract

Along with laser technology, particularly laser application technology gradually plays a leading role in the field of industrial field, high power laser products and their safety requirements attracted more and more attention. In fact, in laser welding, cutting, surface treatment and other industrial applications, most concern was focused on laser power, processing technique. Laser beam quality and the system of laser beam propagation and focusing are ignored greatly. Furthermore, the basic safety standards for laser products had not been widely publicized and strictly enforced because of the rapid development. This paper will examine the underlying relationship between laser beam quality and laser manufacturing and compare different laser systems.
