Abstract
The Taiwan Photon Source (TPS) is a 3-GeV synchrotron facility designed to have a low-emittance electron beam and to be maintained with top-up operation. A TPS injection section (length 12m) contains four injection kickers (K1–K4) and one injection septum outside vacuum to provide the stored beam with a horizontal bump for beam injection off axis. Kickers K2 and K3 and the injection septum are placed in an adjustable plate, which can provide displacement of 5mm for the injected beam near the stored beam so as to decrease the kicker strength. The construction of the injection section is completed; we here describe its design and manufacture, and present some test results for the injection section.
