Abstract
Abstract Korea Multi-purpose Accelerator Complex (KOMAC) has been operating 20 MeV and 100 MeV proton beam lines to provide proton beams for various applications since 2013. A new proton beam line of low-flux proton densities was constructed for space radiation effect testing in 2016, and the beam commissioning was completed in 2017. In this work, we introduce the new proton beam line and report the results of beam characterization. For the results, we conclude that the new beam line can provide a flux as low as 105 p/cm2/pulse with quality assurance, uniformity within ± 10% in a 100 mm × 100 mm irradiation area with various kinds of proton energies.
