Abstract

Students with disabilities often request auxiliary aids and services and academic modifications. Colleges and universities may grant these requests, but if they do not, the institutions may respond by demanding written documentation and/or expert reports. However, this may result in unnecessary, time‐consuming, and costly litigation. Here are some suggestions to avoid lawsuits on these issues.
