Abstract
Abstract A cost effective, reliable method for the demonstration of gram positive and gram negative bacteria in tissue sections is described. This procedure, a modification of the Brown-Hopps method, utilizes a slide basket and staining dishes for all steps of staining and differentiation to eliminate time consuming handling of individual slides. Stains and reagents can be reused for further savings on costs and preparation time. (The J Histotechnol 15:49, 1992)
