Abstract

Basophil activation test (BAT) is a reliable in vitro tool to evaluate immediate allergic reactions to betalactams (BL). The optimal activation marker for BAT analysis could depend on the mechanism involved. The aim of the study was to evaluate the role of CD63 and CD203c in basophil activation from amoxicillin (AX) and clavulanic acid (CLV) allergic patients with different clinical entities: urticaria (URT), anaphylaxis (ANA) and anaphylactic shock (AS).
