Abstract
There are three types of basidiospore ornamentation in Ramariopsis species : ( a ) Kunzei -type with a discontinuous tunica forming the verrucae; ( b ) Biformis -type with a continuous tunica forming verrucae; and ( c ) Minutula -type with a continuous tunica forming rugosities. All Ramariopsis species have ornamented spores. The ornamentation structure in both Clavulinopsis and Scytinopogon spores differs from that found in Ramariopsis and a phyletic relationship between these genera is not supported.
