Abstract

The processes of meiosis and basidiospore formation in a double mutant of A and B incompatibility factors of Coprinus cinereus (Amut Bmut) have been shown to be fundamentally similar to those in the wild-type dikaryon except for a 1-h delay. Six sporulation-deficient mutants were induced in the Amut Bmut strain in which premeiotic DNA replication did not occur and meiosis was arrested at meta-anaphase I.
