Abstract

The development of VLSI process technologies has had a great impact on the design philosophy of integrated circuits and systems. Traditionally, analog circuits had a lion’s share in signal processing, but recent years have witnessed the steady replacement of digital signal processing (DSP) circuits for analog signal processing (ASP) circuits due to the advance of process technologies and advantages of digital circuits. However, the real world is of analog form and therefore, analog circuits will always exist and play an indispensable role in the information society.
