Abstract
This article provides basic elastic solutions for an infinite medium containing a cracked circular hole, subject to singular external loads in form of a dilatation center, a concentrated force and a point couple. The complex function method in conjunction with a rational mapping function is used to solve the problem. Analytic expressions for stress functions, stresses and stress intensity factors are obtained. Numerical values of stress intensity factors are presented in graphic and tabular forms.
