Abstract

Methods used for the isolation and identification of basic nitrogen compounds in petroleum are reviewed. Analyses for these compounds in four types of oils: (1) jet fuel, (2) cracked and (3) hydrogenated light gas oils, and (4) heavy gas oils are compared to point out differences in the techniques used.
