Abstract

Mathematics is one of the tools that help interpret, explain and comprehend engineering problems to find optimized solutions. Some issues can't solve without mathematics; therefore, using mathematics tools in electrical and electronic engineering is essential, as the laws of nature are mathematical expressions, and computer programs contain mathematical relations to understand, and fluency manipulates these relations. Engineering especially electrical engineering theories can’t be achieved and developed without math. In this article, one of the mathematical tools in electrical and electronic engineering utilized in electrical engineering (logarithms) is reviewed. Definition, properties, and application of logarithms in electrical and electronic engineering are outlined as well.
