Abstract

Empirical relationships that make it possible to calculate the volumetric coefficients of mass transfer and mass output, as well as the height of a transfer unit in absorbers with a fibrous packing during absorption of difficult-to-dissolve and readily soluble gases are derived. The extremal character of the dependence of the coefficient of mass transfer on the velocity of the gas flow during absorption of difficult-to-dissolve gases is established.
