Abstract

The problem of forming the intercultural competence of future combat and operational specialists is currently important problem for the professional training of these specialists, and then is the actual problem of the theory and methodology of vocational education. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the main principles and approaches that form the methodological basis for the formation of intercultural competence of future combat and operational specialists. Method of research: analysis of scientific literature which is concentrated on the question of the formation of intercultural competence of future combat and operational specialists. The methodological basis of the process of forming the intercultural competency of future combat and operational specialists is made up of complexes of relevant approaches and principles, which are analyzed in the article. Among the main approaches are: communicative-activity, competence and integrated approaches, and among the basic principles are the principle of professional orientation; complexity; maximum approximation of learning conditions to a real intercultural interaction environment. Methodologically grounded process of formation of intercultural competence of future specialists of combat and operational support will enable these specialists to perform correctly their professional functions and roles in accordance with modern European standards. The communicative-activity approach is aimed at the formation of intercultural and foreign-language communicative competence of future specialists of combat and operational support in the process of development of all types of speech activity. This approach helps professionals to understand the communicative functions of the language. Competency approach is aimed at obtaining the mentioned experts the knowledge, skills, skills and experience that they need to solve life situations. This approach is aimed at the formation of a professionally competent specialist. An integrated approach provides a logical combination of all types of speech activity, allowing the formation of special courses and the organization of practices that could provide integrated development of knowledge, skills and competences − components of intercultural competence. The principle of complexity uses various forms, methods and means of training that will help form the military competency of intercultural competence. The principle of maximum approximation of learning conditions to real intercultural interaction forms the relevant skills and abilities that are components of intercultural competence. The principle of professional orientation is ensured by the correspondence of the objectives and content of training to the professional duties, functions and roles of combat and operational support specialists, enabling them to perform specific professional tasks effectively.
