Abstract

Objective: Describe the theoretical basis for the development of a model of professional practice in Physical Education Methodology: A literature review study was carried out. Books and scientific articles were consulted to describe the model of professional practice in physical education. The topics developed in this review are: General aspects, conceptual aspects, inter-relationships in pedagogical practice, progressive learning, objectives of professional synthesis practice, dimensions of professional synthesis practice, Curricular areas contemplated by the Professional Synthesis Practice, roles and functions of those involved in the practice and teaching styles of teachers. Conclusion: for the development of a model of professional practice in Physical Education it is necessary to consider some characteristics, for example it must be innovative, provide new or creative solutions, as well as show sustainability according to social, economic and environmental requirements. This could guarantee sustainability over time and produce lasting and replicable effects.
