Abstract
AbstractA proficient, simple and feasible synthetic protocol was developed for the synthesis of polysubstituted 2,6‐dicyanoaniline derivatives by one‐pot domino approach towards the reaction between phenylethylidine malononitriles and benzyl amines as our starting components catalyzed by I2 at room temperature in MeCN:H2O (5 : 1) solvent mixture. Moreover, the choice of readily available starting materials having broad substrate scope under mild and operationally simple reaction conditions are the prominent advantages of this strategy.
