Abstract
A new method using the RBTC and LSB substitution to hide data is proposed. Based on the RBTC, a simple LSB substitution is employed for embedding secret data to the resulting compressed images. Experiments show that the PSNR and hiding rate for the proposed method are good while the perceived quality is not bad. Since the perceptual quality of the mixed images are close to that of compressed images generated by the RBTC without hiding capability, the proposed method possesses a merit of being attracted hardly by the grabbers. In other words, the grabbers are not easily notice the existence of the embedded message.
