Abstract

By studying the real refractive angle of light through the tip of the wedge-shaped absorbing medium, the relationship between the real and imaginary parts of the complex refractive index with the real refractive angle have been obtained. If the refractive index of the medium, the refractive index of the absorbing medium and the incident angle is given, it can be calculated the real refractive angle, however, it is necessary to measure wedge-shaped absorbing medium with two different angles of incidence, by inversion the real and imaginary parts of the refractive index of the absorbing medium by the real refractive angle. Numerical analysis shows that, when the vertex angle is small, the real refractive angle and the vertex angle are approximate linear relationship, and in the case of large vertex angle, the real refractive angle will become flat with the vertex angle. In the case of real parts of the refractive index remains the same, the magnitude of the real refractive angle decreases as the imaginary part of the complex refractive index increases. When the real part and imaginary part ratio of a certain, the real refractive angle is close.
