Abstract

A base station antenna with low-scattering dipoles is presented in the paper. The proposed low-band (LB) antenna operates in the band of 1.71-2.11 GHz (VSWR<1.5). By loading window-shaped slots on strip dipoles, it can minimize scattering and work with high-band (HB) antennas operating in the band of 3.3-3.8 GHz. A dual-band array has been designed to validate the performance of LB antenna. Both simulated and measured results have shown that the LB antenna can preserve radiation patterns of HB elements with short distance to it. Besides, it can achieve stable performance in the dual-band array.
