Abstract

The total cross section of baryon number violating processes at TeV energies is given by the formula σ tot ∼ exp[(4 π/ α) F( ϵ)] where ϵ is a dimensionless energy. ϵ = √ s/ E 0, E 0 = √6 πm w/ α ≈ 17.4 TeV. We find the third term in the expansion of the function F(ϵ) = − 1 + 9 8 ϵ 4 3 − 9 16 ϵ 2 + built3 16 ϵ 8 3 log(1/ϵ) − … . Simultaneously we find the log( R 2)/ R 8 term in the instaton-anti-instanton interaction potential, which differs from that found previously by the valley method.
