Abstract

David Edgell, Director of the Office of Policy and Planning, US Travel and Tourism Administration, sets out the restrictions to international travel pertaining to the Americas. The Americas - where restrictions are most severe - have suffered a reduction in tourism market share, whereas East Asia and the Pacific - where travel within the region is facilitated rather than restricted - have experienced the fastest growth in tourism receipts.
