In INIS, dynamics of innovation and knowledge is captured through innovation indicators. The methods used in this study are descriptive statistics, correlation and regression. The results provide the significance of each barrier in innovation process. More than this study finds correlation between these barriers and innovation potentiality of firms. The analysis suggests that there are many barriers which influence the innovation potential of Indian MSMEs. The most important barriers identified are - high finance and apparent uncertainties in market. This study also shows that most of the barriers co-exist in the firms and highly dependent on each other.
