Abstract
Concord grape, Vitis labrusca (L.), vines which had Teflon-coated fabric strips around the trunks alone or on trunks and trellis posts had significantly greater yield and less bud injury from cutworms than vines without barriers. Although cutworm injury on the vines with barriers was greater than expected, the presence of barriers increased the return up to 1,592 per ha over controls (based on 176.37/metric ton).
