Abstract
Although potential “barriers” and “bridges” can be identified in translation processes, how can these provide concepts or ideas for organizations and individuals in relation to the topic of cultural diversity? The aim of this article is to answer this question. It is part of current research work within the context of a German project entitled TransVer‐Offensive (TransVer‐Initiative). It seeks to answer the questions, Which barriers and resources in interaction situations become visible under the influence of cultural diversity between various groups of actors within German municipal administrations, and how can these be handled in meaningful ways?
