Abstract

Barkhausen noise (BN) has been investigated in the ion irradiated Co-based amorphous ribbon as a function of ion dose. The behavior of BN was analyzed by means of signal analysis techniques including fast Fourier and wavelet transforms. The parameters of BN signals and the power spectrum density were increased at the Ar ion irradiated sample with dose from 1015 to 1017 ion/cm2. The results are interpreted on the basis of radiation damage and domain wall dynamics.
