Abstract
A Ba-doped Fe/MgO catalyst pre-reduced at 700 °C, much higher than that of conventional Fe catalysts, forms an Fe0-core and BaO-shell structure. This enhances ammonia synthesis activity due to electron donation from BaO to N2via Fe0.
