Abstract

This chapter analyses the factors that influenced the transit fee agreements for the four main pipeline projects examined in this research. Specifically (and more importantly) it looks at factors that affected the bargaining positions of the parties involved in the pipeline agreements. The projects discussed in this chapter are the Baku—Tbilisi—Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Chad—Cameroon oil pipeline, the West African gas pipeline project, and the Shah Deniz gas pipeline project.KeywordsBargaining PowerBargaining PositionTransit CountryEnergy Information AdministrationTransit RouteThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
