Abstract
As a team, Dr. Barbara Jean Crandall-Stotler (Fig. 1) and Dr. Raymond Eugene Stotler (Fig. 2) are recognized among the bryological community as distinguished scholars, educators, and leaders in promoting the discipline of bryology. Together, their expertise, contributions and innovative ideas span the foundations of bryological research to include morphogenesis, cytology, cell biology, population biology, phylogeny, systematics, plant nomenclature, and botanical documentation.
