Abstract
A vertebra from the Judith River Formation (Campanian) of Saskatchewan, found with other Upper Cretaceous vertebrate remains, is referred to the loon-like hesperornithiformBaptornis, and is the first recorded occurrence of this genus from continental deposits. It is also the first bird described from the Judith River Formation of western Canada.
