Abstract

In the present paper it will be pointed out that in Eritrea banking entrepreneurship has not yet a significant positive impact on banking profitability. This is attributed to the barriers to entrepreneurship existing there, as well as to the conclusion that financial systems are still relatively underdeveloped and that a lot of work has still to be done. The econometric model will be based on the definition of banking entrepreneurial reward following Georgiou (2005) and will be estimated through the Eviews software package.
