Abstract

A novel band-notched reconfigurable rectangular dielectric resonator antenna is presented. It is fed by step-impedance transform microstrip line with truncated ground plate. By the incorporation of two p-i-n diode switches and parasitic square ring elements surrounding the dielectric resonator, tunable rejection bands are achieved. Depending on the location of the switches, the square ring resonator exhibits different band-notched frequency, corresponding to different resonant length.
