Abstract

For the description of the band structures observed in 107Cd.a. core plus particle model is applied. The core nucleus 107Cd is treated in the framework of a phenomenological boson model, containing anharmonic terms in order to have more realistic core matrix elements as input parameters in the odd system. It has been found that the different types of observed bands are directly connected to the pairing occupation factor u j 2− v j 2 of the j-level on which the bands are built. The experimental energy spectrum of 107Cd and B(E2) values are well reproduced.
