Abstract

We report high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy on CeB 6 to study the electronic band structure and the Fermi surface. We observed several dispersive bands located at E F -6 eV binding energy, which are attributed to the B 2 p and Ce 5 d states. We found a large ellipsoidal electronlike Fermi surface centered at X points in the cubic Brillouin zone relevant to the quadrupolar ordering in CeB 6 .
