Through its principal bank subsidiary, BancorpSouth Bank (the Bank), Co. conducts a general commercial banking, trust and insurance business through 287 offices in 151 municipalities or communities in Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Florida. The Bank operates investment services, credit insurance and insurance agency subsidiaries which engage in investment brokerage services and sales of other insurance products. Additionally, the Bank's trust department provides a variety of services. As of Dec 31 2006, Co. and its subsidiaries had total assets of $12.04 billion and total deposits of $9.71 billion.
