Abstract
Absolute cross sections for the emission of Balmer-α radiations from H + + Kr and H + + Xe collisions for proton energies between 20 and 4 keV were measured. The Baimer-α emission cross section exhibits a decrease in magnitude with increase in proton energy for both targets. The data are compared with results of other investigators at both higher and lower energies.
