Abstract

The aim of this paper is to identify and characterize the specific features of ballroom dancing as a partnership art, to direct the partner to dance and to consider this complex and multidimensional complex of elements as a determining condition of the “synergy” of dance partners. Research methodology. In the process of exploring the specific features of partnership interaction in ballroom dancing and the emergence of features of the art of dance performance, a comprehensive approach was applied. The statement of the purpose of the article determines the expediency of applying such general scientific and art methods as analytical, historical, cultural, terminological, systemic and structural, as well as the method of cognition, art analysis and theoretical generalization.Results. It has been found that at the present stage of ballroom dance practice, it relies on the theoretical basis of the classical concepts. Through pressure and tension, the partner manages his partner, creating joint movements, speed, rhythm, speed, etc., responsible not only for his own balance, balance, movement, but also for the same components of the partner’s dance, promoting and supporting her in the process. performing a certain element is technically correct and artistic as well as aesthetic. If the partner ignores the level of convenience of performing the dance with the partner, representing her during a certain movement, the synergy of the couple is broken.Novelty. For the first time in the national art studies the specificity of partnership interaction in ballroom dance has been studied. The issues of the art of dance performance have been considered as a multidimensional complex of elements and a decisive condition of “synergy” of dance partners. The author has formulated the author’s scientific and theoretical definition of “synergy of a dance couple”, which reveals its content and essential features.The practical significance. The material can be used in the theory and practice of ballroom dance, as well as in the educational process, at the lectures, special courses, practical seminars, used for writing scientific articles and textbooks.
