males, except in those without cardiac features, where the increase was greater in females (see Table). CONCLUSION: Among CP admissions to the ED, women were less likely to be tested for cTn than men, especially when the CP was accompanied by cardiac features. Surprisingly, in the absence of cardiac features women were tested for cTn more often than men. The impact of this counter-intuitive finding on outcomes requires further investigation.
