Abstract

The proposed type of pump belongs to positive displacement rotary pumps. The working chamber of this pump is a part of a sphere and the wing is in the shape of a semicircle. The applied kinematic scheme belongs to the class of three-link spatial mechanisms. The wing rotates in space, performing also the function of fluid distributor, meaning that there is no need for inlet and outlet valves. The main advantages are minimal dimensions (the entire mechanism is stored in the working chamber) and the possibility of flow control.
