Balanced Scorecard in University Financial Management

Abstract

At present, there are many problems in the financial management of colleges and universities, which cannot meet the needs of the development of the times. The application of Balanced Scorecard in the financial management of colleges and universities is conducive to the construction of a comprehensive and effective management mode. Therefore, this paper analyzes the application of Balanced Scorecard in college financial management. This paper first analyzes the common problems in the financial management of colleges and universities, and then selects two colleges and universities as the research objects by case analysis, and applies the Balanced Scorecard to their financial management. In the study, we set up evaluation indexes based on the four dimensions of Balanced Scorecard. There are five evaluation indexes in each dimension to analyze the financial management of the two universities. The results show that the total score of College 1 in financial management is 55, and that of College 2 is 54. The application of Balanced Scorecard in the financial management of colleges and universities can better find the problems existing in the financial management of colleges and universities, so as to find a better way to solve the problems.
