Abstract
Addressing the studies of contemporary history of Iraq through the personalities that contributed in directing the course of its historical events politically and militarily, is one of the important faces to study the history of Iraq and in line with the "History from above" approach. Based on this, the research titled "Bahauddin Nouri al-Shirawani his life and political role in Iraq 1897-1960" is an attempt to establish this method by studying the figures, and draw a clear picture of one of the heroes of the Iraqi army and their political and military role. The research included an introduction, two axes or topics, conclusion as well as a list of sources.
