Abstract
This paper is a review of the Ghadir Khumm events which occurred around 14 centuries ago. This paper aims to find out the truth of the Ghadir Khumm event in the history of Islamic Civilization by tracing the views of Muslim theologians, including Rashid Ridho, Makarim Shirazi, and Ibn Taimiyah who were referred directly through their main works, such as Majmu Fatawa, Tafsir Al-Amtsal fi Kitabullah al-Munazzal, and Tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim al-Syahir al-Tafsir al-Manar. Using the historical-philosophical method, it can be concluded that there are four different views on the Ghadir Khumm event. The two views accept the truth of the Ghadir Khumm event with a different approach. Meanwhile, the other two views reject the truth of the Ghadir Khumm incident with a different approach. The four views, affect the views and knowledge of Muslims, resulting in a line of offense in responding to the events of Ghadir Khumm. The author tries to study, examine, and analyze every view of Muslim theologians in responding to the Ghadir Khum incident to obtain the truth of the Ghadir Khumm event in the history of Islamic civilization. The results of this paper, is to know the truth of the presence or absence of Ghadir Khum's perisitwa in the history of the development of Islam. The implication is that Muslims can know the Ghadir Khumm incident clearly and clearly, thus providing understanding and reflection related to the concept of Islamic leadership after the Prophet.
