Abstract

This article considers the possibilities available to individuals with private foundation structures in place, in a jurisdiction other than The Bahamas, who may be desirous of taking advantage of the peripatetic nature of Bahamian Private Foundations without undertaking the time and expense of establishing a new structure in this jurisdiction. The Foundations Act enables a foreign foundation to redomicile to the laws of The Bahamas, which is the main focus of this article.
