Abstract
One finds rough asymptotics for the probabilities of large deviations of statistics of the omega-square type for the testing of the symmetry hypothesis. This gives the possibility to compute their Bahadur local exact slopes and to obtain some results on the characterization of the distributions for which the considered statistics are locally asymptotically optimal in the Bahadur sense for the shift alternative.
